Description

Calling all Psychologists and Psychology Graduate Students! Curious about the new Board Certification in Serious Mental Illness Psychology (provisionally affiliated with ABPP)—but unsure if it’s for you? Join us for an informational webinar featuring Dr. Amy Cuellar, Mentorship Coordinator for the American Board of Serious Mental Illness Psychology (ABSMIP) and Dr. Marie Brown (ISPS-US Board President), who recently completed her certification, who will share insights into the process, the values behind the specialty, and how it supports psychologists working with people experiencing psychosis and other complex mental health challenges.

This session is especially geared toward those who may not see themselves reflected in the phrase “serious mental illness” but whose work aligns with recovery-oriented, socially attuned, and person-centered approaches.

Bring your questions—we’re here to unpack what this certification is, what it isn’t, and who it’s for. Learn more about the certification here.
